Anthony Luzzi is the Executive Vice President of Sims Mortgage Funding, Inc. (SMF) and is in charge of the overall development, operation and management of the company. He has over 25 years of experience with FHA mortgage insurance programs and tax-exempt bond finance; in 1985, he was responsible for obtaining SMF’s approval as a FHA multifamily mortgage lender. His direct responsibilities include new business development, project analysis, underwriting, and loan funding. Mr. Luzzi has directed approximately 100 FHA-insured loan transactions in excess of $875 million that have been funded with tax-exempt revenue bonds, taxable GNMA Securities, whole loan participations and private placements. He is an approved Underwriter under the Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) and Lean processing programs.

Mr. Luzzi received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Peter’s College in 1976 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University in 1980. He was a Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation Administrative Fellow from September 1980 through January 1983.He serves on the Executive Committee of the Committee on Healthcare Financing, a national coalition of mortgage and investment banking companies who are active with FHA's section 232 and 242 programs.
