Senior Vice President Mr. Himel joined Sims Mortgage Funding as a Senior Vice President in 2009 and is active in the origination, underwriting and processing of FHA insured loan applications. Prior to joining SMF, Mr. Himel was a Senior Vice President at Herbert J. Sims & Co., Inc. where he was involved in the issuance of over $2.2 billion in financing for both non-profit and for-profit senior living providers. He completed financings that included senior and subordinate bonds, construction loans, bond insurance, letters of credit, forward interest rate swaps, bridge loans, seed capital and mezzanine loans. Prior to joining Herbert J. Sims & Co., Inc., Mr. Himel worked for Greenwich Partners, a Greenwich, CT based brokerage firm which was focused on the underwriting and trading of non-rated bonds. Mr. Himel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. and his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. |
